Art classes in experimental painting techniques at my studio – all levels

posted in: Uncategorized | 0

I’m now offering art classes in experimental painting techniques available at my studio (which is part of a converted Victorian school in East Dulwich, London SE22)  for up to 6 people per class.
Classes are informal and friendly and are suitable for everyone aged 18 and over from complete beginners to those with some experience of painting who would like to be a bit more adventurous with their working methods. Classes can be tailored towards students’ specific interests to a certain extent.
Painting workshops are a great way to have a break from the stresses of daily life and can also help develop your confidence and well-being whilst having fun and meeting new local people with similar interests.
All classes are 2 and a half hours long and are held on weekdays and basic materials can be supplied if you don’t have your own. Taster sessions are available. For more information and to see the sort of techniques that I can show you, have a look at my instagram feed  and to see my studio where classes are held, check out

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the other artists’ painting in real life when the exhibition opens – some of them look really interesting online and will no doubt look even better when framed and hanging in the Bankside gallery.   I’m also looking forward to  seeing  my two  paintings on the walls there too! If you’re interested in seeing the exhibition, it’s open from 11-6 daily (check Bankside’s website first) and is almost next door to Tate Modern on the SouthBank.

Sold – ‘ Cuban Venetian’ collage

Mixed media collage - cityscape
Collage in mixed media of Venice and Havana combined.

Sold recently to a collector in London, this  collage is composed of fragments of some of my old paintings and tiny slivers of some of my digital prints and photographs of the cities, some of which I used as image transfers onto textured gesso to recreate the crumbling facades of many of the buildings in both Venice and Havana.

It’s great to be able to re-use parts of some of the painting experiments I’ve done and stored for a rainy day!

A similar version is available as prints via SaatchiArt  – here’s the link  Cuban Venetian prints available – Saatchiart
