RWS Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition 8-20 March

I’m really looking forward to seeing all the other artists’ painting in real life when the exhibition opens – some of them look really interesting online and will no doubt look even better when framed and hanging in the Bankside gallery. I’m also looking forward to seeing my two paintings on the walls there too! If you’re interested in seeing the exhibition, it’s open from 11-6 daily (check Bankside’s website first) and is almost next door to Tate Modern on the SouthBank.
2 paintings selected for Royal Watercolour Society exhibition

‘Ardinia Cove’ and ‘Sugar Mountain’ have both been selected for the Royal Watercolour Society’s 2019 exhibition at Bankside gallery, London this March. What a nice surprise! I’m looking forward to seeing them and all the other water based paintings there.
2 paintings pre-selected for the RI Watercolour exhibition
I was very pleased to hear that both ‘Daisy’s Dress and Mimi’s Dress have been pre-selected for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour 2019 exhibition at the Mall galleries. Both paintings are watercolour, ink and textured gesso and measure 50 x 68cm framed.

Sold – ‘ Cuban Venetian’ collage
Sold recently to a collector in London, this collage is composed of fragments of some of my old paintings and tiny slivers of some of my digital prints and photographs of the cities, some of which I used as image transfers onto textured gesso to recreate the crumbling facades of many of the buildings in both Venice and Havana.
It’s great to be able to re-use parts of some of the painting experiments I’ve done and stored for a rainy day!
A similar version is available as prints via SaatchiArt – here’s the link Cuban Venetian prints available – Saatchiart

RI show at the Mall Galleries now open
It was lovely to meet the other artists who are exhibiting at the Mall Galleries yesterday, and to see all their very impressive work. I was delighted to see my painting in a great position in the main gallery.
The curation of the show is really well is really good and must have taken a long time to plan. Many thanks to all involved for all their hard work! The exhibition is on from 6-21 April.
