RI Watercolours 2022- ‘Welcome to Peckham’ shortlisted

Happy to hear that my mixed media painting of ‘The Prince of Peckham’ pub has been shortlisted for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 2022 exhibition.

It’s one of a series of my ‘local landmark’ paintings – I love the cheerful ‘welcome’ greeting on the side of their wall.  It was painted on textured watercolour paper then sanded down

in places to enhance the textures of the walls.

Sold – ‘ Cuban Venetian’ collage

Mixed media collage - cityscape
Collage in mixed media of Venice and Havana combined.

Sold recently to a collector in London, this  collage is composed of fragments of some of my old paintings and tiny slivers of some of my digital prints and photographs of the cities, some of which I used as image transfers onto textured gesso to recreate the crumbling facades of many of the buildings in both Venice and Havana.

It’s great to be able to re-use parts of some of the painting experiments I’ve done and stored for a rainy day!

A similar version is available as prints via SaatchiArt  – here’s the link  Cuban Venetian prints available – Saatchiart
