Description
After falling into disrepair, the conservatory from Coombe Cliff House was dismantled and rebuilt in the grounds of the Horniman museum in South East London. Parts of the image were sanded away to evoke a ‘distressed’ & textural effect, leaving a rough, peeling surface to work into. The painting was made using layers of gesso, watercolour, printing inks and pen on paper. It is sold framed, mounted & glazed & ready to hang.
