Back to Watercolour

This painting was selected for and exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour at the Mall Galleries in London, 2023.
I have been painting salt marshes on the coast of Essex and Kent for a couple of years now. It’s a fairly undiscovered part of the country with wonderful light & unique scenery and I’m also drawn to the juxtaposition of the industrial buildings that are often scattered across the horizon…
Another painting from this Tollesbury series was on display at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London 2022 and thanks to Artfinder, I’ve sold a further 3 paintings from this series.
The painting is framed with a simple white wooden frame, glazed and is ready to hang. The frame measures 49cm wide by 39cm h x 2 d. (actual image size) – 29 x 24cm

Materials used:   watercolour, gesso and ink
