Happy to hear that my mixed media painting of ‘The Prince of Peckham’ pub has been shortlisted for the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours 2022 exhibition.
It’s one of a series of my ‘local landmark’ paintings – I love the cheerful ‘welcome’ greeting on the side of their wall. It was painted on textured watercolour paper then sanded down
in places to enhance the textures of the walls.
It was great to be able to visit the Mall Galleries to see the exhibition in real life! I was happy to see my painting on the wall there:- https://youtu.be/D5RZSBtkzHw
It was a lovely surprise to have some good news recently – my painting of a spiral staircase has been selected for the RI Watercolour exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. It’s so long since I’ve been to any exhibitions so it will be lovely to visit one and to also be a part of it. If you’d like to visit the exhibition, pre-booking will be required here:- https://www.mallgalleries.org.uk/your-visit/admission
It was a matching frock and paintings for me at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours private view. It was lovely to meet the other artists & to see their amazing work. Here’s some more information about the exhibition and the online catalogue https://www.mallgalleries.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/royal-institute-painters-water-colours-207th-exhibition
Very pleased to hear that ‘Miss Havisham’s Dress’ (watercolour, ink + gesso) has been pre-selected by the R.I. (Royal Institute of painters in watercolour) for their forthcoming show at the Mall Galleries, London.
